Each year, the Résidence 1+2 co-produces with the Edition Filigranes, a boxed set of three works dedicated to the three photographers in residence. That edition – new by its concepts – is presented in two languages (French & English) and structured within a “Toulouse” collection. Editions Filigranes is pursuing an original and audacious path, having specialised in photographic and artists’ publishing. The editorial choices range from well-known authors to first books. Founded 30 years ago by Patrick Le Bescont, the catalogue contains nearly 640 titles. The editorial approach of Filigranes is to combine the image and the writing in unique books, thus bringing together the views and sensibilities of photographic authors, artists and contemporary writers, without excluding styles or genres.
