Mathilda Holloway was born in 1989. She is a filmmaker, photographer, and also an audiovisual and literary translator. Since 2017, she has been carrying out a research combining with creation at doctoral level in Audiovisual Studies that questions the heterotopic dimension of the audiovisual medium, its potential to bring to light and create other spaces. 

Drawing her inspiration from science fiction and the imaginary of the English gothic novel as well as fantasy, her practice experiments with narrative modes, questions how we perceive the world. Generally speaking it has something to do with the way relationship between humans and the world need to be rethought in contemporary times. 

She lives and works in Toulouse.
