Involved in a thought about cooperation, the pooling of resources, the complementarity of skills and savoir-faire, several cultural structures of the Occitanie/ Pyrenees-Mediterranean Region are associated (Résidence 1+2 in Toulouse, Centre d’art et de photographie de Lectoure, Traverse Bagnères de Bigorre, Le Bus – espace culturel mobile, Agence de Développement de l’Economie Culturelle du Couserans and the federation of municipalities Couserans-Pyrénées) and are accompanying, in 2021 and 2022, the photographer Marine Lanier during her multiple stays in Occitanie for the rest of her serie Les contrebandiers.

Marine Lanier realised a first corpus of images in the Alps and the Vercors within the scope of the national photographic commission of the Ministry of Culture “Flux, une société en mouvement”, led by the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap), in partnership with the CRP/Centre régional de la photographie et diaphane, pôle photographique des Hauts-de-France and with the support of the jardin du Lautaret and the ecology department of CUEF in Grenoble – Université Grenoble Alpes. It is in the Pyrenees that she wishes to continue this long-term project Les contrebandiers, a documentary fable embodied by atypical characters in immersion in a timeless nature.
