PAULINE DUPIN

HORS LES MURS #8

A freelance photographer born in 1995 in southwest France, Pauline Dupin trained at the Institut Supérieur des Arts de Toulouse (IsdaT) from 2014 to 2017, and later joined ETPA – a photography school – where she graduated with honors in September 2020. She lives and works between France and Tunisia.

A portraiture enthusiast, her photographic approach aims to make personal trajectories visible through an intimate, immersive documentary style. Notions of memory, filiations and gender are all elements that make up her work.

Since 2020, her series have been regularly shown at festivals such as Les Nuits photographiques de Pierrevert, the Manifesto Festival in Toulouse, Les Promenades Photographiques of Vendôme, and Galerie Lumière d’Encre in Céret. More recently, her work on access to sexual and reproductive health in Tunisia was the subject of an exhibition in partnership with Médecins du Monde and the French Institute of Tunisia.

In 2021, she will join five other photographers in the documentary commission “D’OC”, which aims to map the geography of the Occitanie region. This work is the subject of a book, co-edited by Lamaindonne Editions, released to coincide with the exhibition presented from September 16 to December 31, 2022 at the Centre photographique documentaire – ImageSingulières in Sète.

In 2022, her work was recognized by ArtPil, which included her in its 30 Under 30 Women photographers selection.

Pauline Dupin is the winner of the Résidence Hors les murs #8 at Castelnau d’Estrétefonds.
